A spooktacular new comic book day comes with two new witchy comic series! First, we have Hex Wives, which is ultimately about powerful women and the men trying to control them. Described as a Stepford Wives twist on the traditional witch story, where witches are being brainwashed into being housewives by their evil husbands. The title comes from creative team Ben Blacker and Mirka Andolfo, the latter of which is the mind behind one of our faves- Unnatural! In perfect Halloween fashion, our second new comic this week is Justice League Dark & Wonder Woman: The Witching Hour #1. This will serve as the finale to the Witching Hour saga, with Zatanna fighting for Wonder Woman's soul! The next issues of a few of our favorite series come this week, including Fence #11, Heroes in Crisis #2, Man-Eaters #2, Nancy Drew #5, and Stranger Things #2!
We also have a few exciting books and graphic novels to add to the list this week! DC is releasing DC Comics Heroines: 100 Greatist Moments, which takes a look at some of the pivotal moments of women throughout DC history, including Batgirl, Batwoman, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman! This week also brings the trade paperback for the previously online only Jessica Jones series. We're a big fan of IRL paper comics, so we're excited Marvel decided to release it offline!

I Am Young (Graphic Novel)
This story is told in dual perspective by Miriam (a second-generation Iranian immigrant living in Edinburgh with her family) and George (a visitor from Wales). Their relationship throughout the decades mirrors the Beatles's. In the other stories in this book, thematically bound by relationship flux and the impact of culture, Dean experiments beautifully with style and storytelling devices in each piece.
