We are very excited for some of the new comics coming this week, especially Shuri! The nation of Wakanda looks to Shuri as next for the thrown after the Black Panther is lost on a mission! The brilliant and clever scientist is of course most comfortable in her lab, but will Shuri choose her own happiness over the welfare of Wakanda? We can’t wait to read and find out! This week also brings what sounds like a perfect October read, Exorsisters #1. Exorsisters tells the story of Kate and Cate, identical twins who offer “timely soul retrieval at a reasonable rate!” Lastly, we get a new series for one of our favorite young Marvel sheroes: The Unstoppable Wasp #1! Nadia Van Dyne and The Agents of G.I.R.L are back with a new adventure and we can’t wait to join them!
Some of our favorite ongoing stories return this week, including Cover, Harley Quinn (with an awesome foil cover!), Lumberjanes, Pearl, Runaways, and Submerged!

A City Inside (Graphic Novel)
(W) Tillie Walden (A/CA) Tillie Walden
Shifting between the everyday and the surreal, A City Inside recounts one woman's life from childhood home, to the first love that she will never forget, to the creation of the idea of herself that she can grow old with and the home that she can grow old in. Walden's follow up to the lyrical I Love This Part is a poetic exploration of the process of growing older; the journey towards finding out who you are and building a life for yourself. It is a universal story of how we don't just come-of-age once, but many times throughout our lives.

Jane Austen: Her Heart Did Whisper (Graphic Novel)
(W) MariNaomi (A/CA) MariNaomi
In a time of formal dances, courtyard courtships, and strict ideas about a woman's role in the world, Jane Austen looked at the England around her and created unforgettable art. Before she was the beloved author of Pride and Prejudice and other classic novels, Jane Austen was a young woman wrestling with society's expectations and challenges of the heart. Her own story involves choices that changed literary history - and perhaps even the choice to walk away from love. This graphic imagining of Jane Austen's youth includes her creative awakening and her much-speculated-upon encounters with Tom Lefroy, a brash law student. Jane Austen: Her Heart Did Whisper is a vision of the thrills and pains of young romance, the bonds of sisterhood, and the decisions that make a person who she is.
