New February Comix!!

There is an exciting and extensive list of comics posted below to look forward to in February, but honestly, this feels like a month where the graphic novels reign. The titles we are most excited for include the new volumes of Tokyo Tarareba Girls and Girl From the Other Side, but also a number of new graphic novels (and even a prose book *shhh*). First, we should say that if you want the low-down on Bloom (you should, its wonderful!), then you should check out our Instagram post with a full review. We also spoke quite a bit on there as well about Marvel's new Powers of a Girl text, which serves as encyclopedic round-up of badass ladies! The prose book, Comics Will Break Your Heart, is at least about comics, and is by longtime comic book great, Faith Erin Hicks! We are also very excited for the new Mera book from DC, which is the first in a new collection of books from the publisher for young adults!

Even with all of the amazing graphic novels coming out we didn't forget about some new periodical series that we are excited to read! First off we have the new series Female Furies, which follows Big Barda and the incredible female warriors of Apokolips when they are finally sent out to fight! Another new series starting this month is The Girl in the Bay. This story follows seventeen year-old Kathy after she was attacked and thrown into Brooklyn's Sheepshead Bay. Somehow she survived and managed to make it to the surface, only to find out that it's fifty years in the future and someone else has been living her life!

And of course we can't forget about the next exciting installments of our favorite continuing adventures! February brings the next issues for Blackbird, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Die, Man-Eaters, Monstress, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Ms. Marvel, Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, and SO MANY MORE!

We can't wait for all of the amazing comics coming out this month featuring dynamic femme characters, writers, and artists!

Scroll down to see cover art and brief descriptions from the publishers for all the titles (listed in alphabetical order). To get more information, including anticipated release dates, click on the cover images and head on over to Previews World.
