Scroll through our recommendations for September 19th's New Comic Book Day, listed below!
We are sad to say goodbye to Dark Horse's Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic. This week we have the final issue of Buffy's Season 12, which will also be the last issue of Buffy from Dark Horse. This promises to be the "culmination of all Buffy Seasons."
This week there are many exciting comics to discuss, but honestly, we have two words on the brain: Harley Quinn! Last Tuesday (September 11th) was the 26th anniversary of Harley's first appearance on Batman: The Animated Series; this past Saturday (September 15th) was Batman Day, largely translating to a celebration of all things Gotham, including Harley; and now, this Wednesday (September 19th) we get Harley Quinn #50! This is a special issue in which DC states Harley will both bend reality and save the universe- and we can't wait! Sign us up for anything starring our Clown Princess of Crime.
We don't often include books of the non-comic variety on our recommendation list, but when we first saw the art from DC Comics: Anatomy of a Metahuman, we were mesmerized. The text is written from the perspective of Batman, who has decided to collect information about the potential threat of metahumans. The book is filled with beautifully illustrated anatomical cutaways and descriptions about the biological differences that define a metahuman.
