Femme Power Picks: May 29th!!

Scroll through our recommendations for May 29th's New Comic Book Day, listed below!

While last week was pretty heavy on the new graphic novels, this week we are excited for some great new comics! Our new series pick of the week is She Said Destroy from Vault Comics with art from the amazing Liana Kangas! This new series is described as Wicked + Divine meets Star Wars, and focuses on a secluded space colony that is the last stronghold against the goddess of the Sun, Brigid. Morrigan, the sister of Brigid, and her followers, called the Witches of Fey, are the only hope in preventing Brigid from conquering the entire solar system. Morrigan is traditionally presented as a goddess of death, and we are excited to see her as a force for good in this new story full of powerful female characters!

We also have a favorite spin-off one-shot comic coming out this week that we can't wait to get our hands on! Lumberjanes: Somewhere That's Green #1 is a new story in the Lumberjanes universe, where the Roanokes are the only one's who can save a magic garden that they have stumbled upon. The one-shot is written by Seanan McGuire, who also writes the current/future run of Spider-Gwen, and we can't wait to see what awaits the troupe as they venture through the woods to solve another mystery!

The graphic novel that we want to highlight this week is not an original graphic novel, but instead the Saga Deluxe Hardcover Vol. 03! This new book collects issues 37-54, which brings us to the halfway point of the series and gives readers access to all the currently printed issues in hardcover form! With this being released and the new omnibus-style collection of the first fifty-four issues being announced we sure hope that means the writing break is coming to an end soon!

We also have some returning favorites this week such as Bad Luck Chuck, Blossoms 666, Magnificent Ms. Marvel, Steven Universe and so many other Femme Power Comix favorites!

Also!- Have you heard the good news? You can now purchase comics and graphic novels in our shop! We've so appreciated the feedback we've gotten so far, but please continue to send us messages on Facebook and Instagram as we decide what to stock in our shop!

Each title, listed below in alphabetical order, includes cover art and a brief description. To learn more about each title, click on the cover art image and head over to Previews World!
