Femme Power Picks: May 15th!!

Scroll through our recommendations for May 15th's New Comic Book Day, listed below!

It has been Sickness City over here at FPC Headquarters (the fancy name for our apartment), so we apologize for the delay on this week's list while we were under the weather! The good news is, this week is chock full of great reads!

For new comic series, we have Dark Horse's Last Stop on the Red Line, which follows Detective Migdalia Torres as she investigates a strangling on a Boston subway car with no leads, until it appears the new person in her life might have a supernatural connection to the crime. And if you've been looking for more politically focused comic books, then today is your lucky day, as Devil's Due Comic's new title, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Freshman Force, hits shelves! This satire comic brings together a group of creators to celebrate the most diverse group of Freshman representatives in history!

If you read our month roundup for May, then you know one of this month's best graphic novel's comes out this week: Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe. Maia's unflinching honesty and vulnerability describe eir experiences coming out as non-binary and asexual, and should be on everyone's reading list! We firmly believe everyone benefits from putting themselves in shoes different from their own, and this is a perfect place to start!

We also have some of our returning favorites such as Black Widow, Ironheart, Little Bird, Lumberjanes, Calamity Kate and so many other Femme Power Comix favorites!

Also!- Have you heard the good news? You can now purchase comics and graphic novels in our shop! We've so appreciated the feedback we've gotten so far, but please continue to send us messages on Facebook and Instagram as we decide what to stock in our shop!
