Femme Power Picks: March 13th!

Scroll through our recommendations for March 13th's New Comic Book Day, listed below!

As we continue the month of March, we have many new comic series starting this week that we are excited about!

First up we have Assassin Nation, a new title illustrated by Squirrel Girl's Erica Henderson! The world's greatest hitman must hire the twenty top assassins to be his bodyguards after an attempt is made on his life; part mystery and murder-fest, part hilarious buddy comedy, this title is described as similar to Hot Fuzz and Deadpool and we can't wait to pick it up!

The other new series that we have coming out this week is The Magnificent Ms. Marvel! The new series feels bittersweet with the ending of the G. Willow Wilson run, but we're ready to see what Saladin Ahmed brings to the table as the writer for the new slightly more grown up Magnificent Ms. Marvel.

Another new series that we are very excited to read is Little Bird. This new mini-series features a young woman who is fighting against an oppressive American Empire, while searching for who she truly is and what her own identity is in a world filled with destruction. Featuring some of the surrealism of series such as Akira, with the limitless possibilities in the story like those of Saga this mini-series promises to be a powerhouse of action and adventure!

There may only be a couple of new titles this week, but there are so many returning favorites, including Blackbird, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Catwoman, Shuri, Supergirl and The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl (Which is celebrating it's 50th issue!)

You can now purchase comics and graphic novels in our shop! We are slowly adding inventory as we get things situated, so bear with us, but you can order a few of the titles coming out on Wednesday! As we decide what we should stock in the shop, we would love your feedback, so always feel free to send us an email or leave us a message on Facebook or Instagram!

Each title, listed below in alphabetical order, includes cover art and a brief description. To learn more about each title, click on the cover art image and head over to Previews World!

This is getting complicated. Anyway! •  By a certain way of counting, it's our 50TH ISSUE of THE UNBEATABLE SQUIRREL GIRL!   •  And to celebrate, we're doing a stand-alone story in which she takes on none other than... KANG THE CONQUEROR. It's a battle across space AND time as Kang attacks three distinct eras of Doreen! •  And it's not just Kang who is joining us for this celebration! Original UNBEATABLE artist Erica Henderson is joining series regular Derek Charm, along with Naomi Franquiz! •  THIS IS A REALLY GOOD ISSUE AND WE'RE SUPER BIASED BUT WE THINK YOU SHOULD ORDER IT, THANKS.
