December 5th New Comix!!

Somehow you blink after a giant turkey dinner and suddenly its December! The good news is, this first week brings a ton of amazing femme-powered reads!

We have many returning favorites (Blackbird! Moon Girl! Snotgirl! Unnatural!), but we also get a TON of new goodies to look forward to! First up is DIE from Kieron Gillen, the amazing writer of Wicked + Divine (which also has a new issue this week!). DIE follows a group of forty-somethings as they are forced to face a grizzly memory from their time as teen role-players. The author describes in as "Goth Jumanji" and that sounds pretty amazing to us! This week also brings new titles LaGuardia, Self Made, and Snap Flash Hustle. The first is about a pregnant Nigerian-American doctor and her smuggled alien plant; the second follows a young warrior as she attempts to escape her chaotic world and confront her God; the last, a secret society of elite models who are also maybe running a narcotics ring.

All in all, we have a week of diverse and badass stories in store, so be sure to scroll through our recommendations for December 5th's New Comic Book Day, listed below! You can also scroll down to see cover art and read brief descriptions from the publishers (titles listed in alphabetical order). To learn more about each title, click on the cover art image and head to Previews World.
