August New Comix!

Updated: Jul 30, 2018

What a great month for new releases! We "narrowed it down" to about 75 titles we're excited to read.

Batgirl gets her new creative team for both issue #26 and Annual #2, but as big fans of "The City on the Other Side," we're excited to see what writer Mairghread Scott brings to the table.

Batwoman, on the other hand, will see her last issue this month. We're hoping to get our Kate Kane fix elsewhere before Batwoman joins The CW's Arrowverse in December.

Blackwood has also reached its final issue, and we're fascinated to see what the student's discover about their magical school and its inhabitants before the story comes to a close.

Perhaps the most anticipated arrivals this month are TWO new titles from comics royalty Brian Michael Bendis. After the success of Jessica Jones, Bendis said he wanted something completely different but just as emotionally dense, and he's hoping to deliver that with Pearl, which hits shelves August 15th. The second title, Scarlet, is technically a reboot of a 2011 tale of revolution and is set to be in your local comic shop August 29th. Both stories are named for their female leads and we can't wait to learn more about both characters.

Also a new Lumberjanes tale! The returns of Scales & Scoundrels and Snotgirl! And the West Coast Avengers will assemble!

Scroll down to see cover art and brief descriptions from the publishers for all 75+ titles (listed in alphabetical order). To get more information, including anticipated release dates, click on the cover images and head on over to Previews World.
